Biography
James was born in Oakville, Ontario in 2005. Was raised by his father Steven and mother Tricia along side his siblings Marcus and Alexa. Steven has been a car enthusiast and collector his entire life, so naturally, growing up James was exposed to a lot of the same interests. During the summers, he would often wash and detail cars with his dad, whether it was a car, truck, SUV, sports car, collector or exotic. Taking a dirty vehicle and polishing it until it looked brand new again was a passion for him and now has turned that passion into JawDropAuto.
Biography
In his early years he was always an energetic and active kid. It was around the age of 10 he decided to pursue hockey, despite most players beginning at a much younger age. Starting his journey at nearly 11 years old, James progressed from hockey school and house league to eventually competing in U16 AAA in the GTHL and now playing Junior A in the OJHL. His late start in the sport required him to learn quickly, train harder, and remain highly dedicated to his development, ultimately reaching a high level of success. He now uses his knowledge and experience in the sport to coach children and adults in his community to learn how to skate and play hockey. Hockey has shaped James into a resilient, passionate, determined, and composed individual, qualities he applies both on and off the ice.
Biography
From a young age, James was introduced to martial arts by his father, who has an extensive background in the field and a career in coaching strength and conditioning. This provided James with exceptional opportunities to train and learn from a knowledgeable source. He quickly developed a passion for the discipline, focus, and perseverance required to excel in this sport.
Achieving his black belt was never the end it was the beginning of a new chapter. A chapter where his focus would shift from personal achievement to training, teaching, sharing, and motivating others to break through their own limitations. The black belt represented not just a milestone, but a responsibility to contiune his path as he climbed, ensuring that his influence would extend far beyond his own success.
Throughout his childhood, James balanced his martial arts training with other aspects of his life. As he began playing hockey, he recognized the need to dedicate additional time to on-ice training in order to keep up with his competition. Despite this, his commitment to martial arts remained strong, ultimately earning him two black belts at the age of 16—one in Hung Gar style Kung Fu and another in Taekwondo.

Emil Melconian is a dedicated automotive enthusiast with a lifelong passion for cars and motorcycles. From a young age, growing up in a competitive household with four brothers, Emil thrived in fast-paced environments – whether on the ice, field, or in a fight. Amid the noise and energy, he discovered a deep connection to vehicles, drawn to the precision, performance, and artistry they represent.
Outside of work, you’ll likely find him on the road, drawing inspiration from the very machines he helps transform. And if you catch a red blur weaving through traffic, don’t worry. Emil might ride fast, but he details motorcycles even better than he rides them. Emil’s passion isn’t just about cars—it’s about creating experiences, pushing limits, and turning every vehicle into a statement.
Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science at Western University, Emil brings a unique blend of technical knowledge and hands-on expertise to the business. Known for his strong work ethic, dedication, and resilience, he consistently rises to challenges and thrives under pressure—traits that serve him well both in the shop and in the fast-paced world of entrepreneurship. His focus is on delivering premium detailing and custom wrap services for clients who expect nothing less than excellence. Emil believes every vehicle deserves to make a masterpiece—and he’s committed to making that happen with meticulous attention to detail, creative vision, and an unwavering drive to exceed expectations.

Emil and James first crossed paths at a young age while playing hockey, where a natural chemistry quickly developed between them. What began as a shared passion for the sport evolved into a lasting friendship built on mutual respect, aligned values, and a shared perception on life. Although they spent only a single season together on the ice, their personalities complemented one another in a way that extended far beyond the rink.
Over the years, their connection remained strong, eventually becoming the foundation for something greater. Drawing on their complementary strengths, entrepreneurial spirit, and shared vision, Emil and James co-founded Jaw Drop Auto with the goal of delivering exceptional service and craftsmanship to every client. Today, the same trust, communication, and teamwork that once defined their performance on the ice now drive their approach to business—ensuring that every project reflects their commitment to quality and customer satisfaction driven by passion, powered by experience, and built on a bond that’s been years in the making.
